First Xperias of 2014: ‘Sirius’, ‘Canopus’, ‘Falcon’ and ‘Amami’

Details of the new Xperia handsets are coming our way from various sources.

First are two handsets coming soon according to a source at the Chinese website Digi-wo. The source details two smartphones codenamed ‘Sirius’ and ‘Canopus’. The model ‘Sirius’ is suggested to be the Xperia Z2 ‘Avatar’. The model ‘Canopus’ has fewer details but is aimed for release in May likely with a Snapdragon 805 processor. What’s really unusual is that this one is said to have two versions, one being a wi-fi only device.

The Xperia E and E Dual are about to get updated as the ‘Falcon’ models appear to be named E1 and E1 Dual as seen passing through the FCC in the US.

We are also due the ‘Amami’ in Q1 2014, which has used various names; ‘Honami mini’ and Z1s which will be the official international name.
