Samsung stuffs vulnerability for Samsung Account

Samsung delivers an update to some of its smartphones, where apparently registration data for the Samsung Account are transferred in clear text. Lack encryption, it was criminals theoretically possible with the information such as name, email address and password to determine the whereabouts of users and to create motion profiles or divert SMS messages and calls.

The technology portal heise.de has discovered that Samsung's smartphones have been transmit sensitive user data on the Samsung account without encryption. This could, at least with the Samsung devices Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Tab 3 are detected. Samsung was immediately informed about this vulnerability and now the manufacturer has apparently responded and provided mini updates for the respective devices. Which they are, but Samsung does not reveal. Heise consequently urges to change his password for your Samsung account via the secure Internet site https://account.samsung.com or equal to create a new account.
