ZTE isn't holding anything back for CES 2014. In addition to debuting its first smartwatch and a mobile hotspot device, the Chinese mobile company plans on unveiling five smartphones during the tech conference, which will take place next week in Las Vegas.
One of these handsets is the Grand S II, ZTE's followup to its flagship from last year. The device will feature voice control technology that will enable users to unlock their phones or take a photo using their voice. It will also have improved audio features that reportedly result in clearer calls.
The company will also demo two new members of its Nubia family of smartphones. Known as the Nubia 5S and Nubia 5S Mini, both these handsets will have quad-core Snapdragon processors. However, the former will feature a 5-inch 1080p display and 13-megapixel camera, while the latter will have a 4.7-inch display.
In addition, ZTE is partnering with AT&T's prepaid offshoot Aio Wireless to bring users the Sonata 4G. Equipped with a 4-inch display, the device features a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 CPU, a 5-megapixel camera (which can record up to 720p video), and a 1,780mAh battery.
Finally, there is the Iconic Phablet, a 5.7-inch dual-core handset that sports a Gorilla Glass touch screen, Dolby Digital Sound, and wireless charging.
Other products ZTE plans to showcase is the aforementioned BlueWatch smartwatch, and 4G Wi-Fi Projector Hotspot that, as the name suggests, includes a mini projector.
