Samsung Galaxy S5 Render is Based on Freshly Leaked Patent

A few days ago Samsung leaked some patents that have spawned among others a Galaxy Note 4 concept and now a Samsung Galaxy S5 render, with a pretty similar design. Ivo Maric has created this new design, that’s detailed below.

He tried to follow the sketches (shown at the end of the article) as much as possible. Apparently, the Galaxy S5 will be about the same size as the S4, but it will integrate a 5.25 inch display and it will be slightly curved to the right. The frame of the concept is made of aluminum and the battery cover is faux leather, as you can clearly see from the picture.

Those are all the designer’s speculations, but he may not be too far off with them. I can see that the device is very thin and seems to integrate virtual buttons instead of the physical ones. Is Samsung ready to ditch the Home button on the 2014 Galaxy S? We’ll find out next month at MWC… or maybe sooner!

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Rendered by Jermaine Smit, Based on Patent Leak

Apparently, the patent for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has leaked and designer Jermaine Smit used the opportunity to envision a concept of this 2014 phablet. The design is totally changed from what we’re used to in the world of Android devices.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 packs a 5.9 inch display, a 20 megapixel camera and a 3 megapixel front cam. It has an Exynos S+ processor (speculation), 32 or 64 GB of storage and a metallic body. There’s also a microSD card slot on board and the S Pen is as usual included, hidden at the lower part of the device.

This new Note is sleek and the blue version really complements its metallic case. The vibe I’m getting from the blue Galaxy Note 4, especially its lower part is similar to the one that a Dodge Viper would give a car passionate. We’re finally moving away from the last gen Note and Galaxy S designs and into an era of true edge to edge screens, metallic cases and bold approaches.

Samsung’s design patents transformed into Galaxy S5 and Note 4 concepts

We’ve seen a couple of concept designs of the Galaxy S5 in the last few weeks, brought to life by imaginative folks that are looking forward to Samsung’s next flagship. Well, now we’ve got another, this time inspired by a new design patent that was awarded to Samsung on the last day of 2013, and also accompanied by a concept of the Galaxy Note 4 derived from the same patents. Like the other concepts, this one features a curved design with zero screen bezels, but adds to it with a wraparound flexible display on the side, which, as another of Samsung’s patents showed us, could be used for things like app shortcuts, news tickers, navigating through apps, and more.
Take a look at the concepts below.

Design exploration what a future iPhone 6 might look like.

iPhone 5 is still the best looking phone today.
Competition is not standing still. Some nice "premium" phones are coming out from other companies.

It makes me wonder what will Apple do to stay on top, and beat out the competition.
This is how I imagine next iPhone 6

3 key areas next iPhone has to address:

improve its already spectacular design of iPhone 5
compete with cheap smartphones
compete with large screen smartphones (phablets).

Cool New Samsung Galaxy S5 Concept

We designed a Galaxy S5 concept few months back and it was really appreciated by our readers, big tech blogs and experts. Since then, our readers were demanding for a new Galaxy S5 concept. We have listened you guys. Here’s a cool new Samsung Galaxy S5 concept. Check it out!

Display

This concept has a 5.2″ flexible curved display with 2K resolution. Although, recent reports are suggesting that there will be no flexible or curved display in Galaxy S5 but this concept was designed earlier and many of our readers wanted us to design the concept with curved display.

Here’s another awesome Galaxy S5 concept

Fan-made concepts are always nice to see, as they show what that next device we’re all looking forward to could look like, even though manufacturers never actually come up with something close to what the imaginative mind can cook up (partly because these concept designs can be a bit too over the top). The Galaxy S5 is perhaps the most anticipated upcoming device at the moment, what with rumors of it sporting a 64-bit processor4GB of RAMiris scanning technology, a 2k display, 16-megapixel camera, and other fancy specs making the rounds, and the folks over at GalaxyS5Info have combined it all into an amazing new concept for Samsung’s upcoming flagship.
The concept shows a 5.25-inch Galaxy S5 with a curved body and a futuristic design, with features like a 4-megapixel front-facing camera, wireless headphones and quad-speakers, and specifications such as Android 4.4 KitKat, 4GB of RAM, and more. Again, it’s something Samsung will never be able to emulate, but for those that enjoy such creative concept designs, it’s a good look at what might be possible in an alternate dimension.
What do you think?

Nokia Normandy - Android-project of Nokia

In the network appeared the image of a smartphone from Nokia, which was designed and is designed to work under OS Android. Development is called Nokia Normandy, but its status is unknown. According to some reports, the project has already been discontinued after the decision to sell the mobile business to Microsoft. Also can not be excluded that the project was only to get acquainted with practical experience in the production of Android-smartphone, and shift from using only Windows Phone OS was not planned. Anyway, judging from the available images, the device is made in a very similar design with modern trends of Nokia, repeating the basic elements in a series of smartphones Lumia.
